Why become a member of the Bismarck English Riders? It’s simple!

  • Members receive informational newsletters, either hard copy or electronic, listing current news and upcoming events.

  • Members have the opportunity to use the Walt Neuens Memorial Horse Park to practice and ride in a show arena. To use the arena, BER members must also be paid members of the Bismarck Horse Club for liability purposes.

  • Members have access to a FREE club library of educational video tapes and magazines.  Click HERE for a PDF file list of librrary contents.

  • Members may take advantage of a mentoring program. Because our club believes so strongly in education, different members may volunteer their time to either teach a skill, or request to learn a skill. This program is only available to paid members.

  • Members network with people who have the same interests and goals. They work together to run shows, organize events and promote the disciplines of English riding – all while enjoying their equine companions.

BER members must also be paid members of the Bismarck Horse Club. Several years ago when renewing its contract with the BHC, Bismarck Parks and Recreation requested that all members of local groups regularly using the Walt Neuens Memorial Horse Park also become members of the BHC. This is for liability insurance purposes.

You do NOT need to be a member of the Bismarck English Riders to enjoy horses or volunteer your time! Our club is always looking for willing bodies to open and close gates, hand out ribbons and “work” other necessary functions at shows. If you interested in helping out but not sure if you want to join, please contact Cherie.
